Lacie’s Story

Family homelessness in the District of Columbia is often an unseen issue, but a very real one. Housing Up, formerly known as Transitional Housing Corporation, fights against homelessness by providing housing and comprehensive support services to homeless and at-risk families so that they can transform their own lives. This is the story of one of their clients, Lacie, who was able to overcome the challenges facing her and make a better life for herself and her children.
